Iced Chocolate Chai Latte – how to make

I love chocolate – I mean, who doesn’t? It’s such a nice treat, whether it is in a dessert, in a drink, or by itself. Thankfully, the warmth of a vegan chai latte can easily be combined with the richness of the chocolate. With the help of Premsoul, I created this delicious and luxurious iced chocolate chai latte recipe and I show you how to make it. It is super easy to prepare and great for parties, as you can make large batches in one go! This iced chai latte is an amazing summer recipe that refreshes you but also keeps you cozy thanks to the chai’s spices.

Vegan Iced Chocolate Chai Latte

A vegan chai latte is my favorite autumn drink. They are so warm and delicious, the chai spice blend never fails to put me in a super cozy mood! While I drink a lot of them in the winter months, I often crave those delicious flavors in the summer months too. When it is too warm to enjoy a warm chai latte, an iced chai latte is a perfect alternative! If a simple chai latte is too classic for you, you can add some extra flavors to make it more interesting. With this recipe, for example, I decided that chocolate would be make a perfect pairing with the chai.

Chai Latte Flavors

Of course, you can experiment with many other flavors. Vanilla, hazelnut, caramel, almond,… there are many possible variations. The plant-based milk that you choose also has an impact on the flavor of your vegan chai latte. There are so many different ways to make a vegan chai latte. It can be warm, iced, with multiple flavors, or just a simple chai – the options are endless! This iced chocolate chai latte recipe is only one of the many possible variations. A vegan chai latte is therefore a very easy drink to customize and experiment with!

To make this super simple recipe, I am using Premsoul’s chocolate chai mix. It is a healthy and organic blend of chai and cocoa, ideal for both warm and iced drinks. The blend is unsweetened, so you can modify it and sweeten it to your own liking with any type of sugar that you prefer. I sweetened my drink with date syrup because I find that it really adds to the flavor of the drink, and I love the taste of it! Your beverage can therefore be as healthy, decadent or indulgent, as you make it! To make it extra chocolatey, I like to add some cocoa powder to the drink.

Are chai tea lattes healthy?

Chai lattes are pretty low in calories, so healthier than most indulgent iced beverages! People usually think of chocolate as somewhat of an unhealthy snack. However, Premsoul’s chocolate chai mix is made with cocoa shells, which are much healthier than processed chocolate. Cocoa shells are a great source of protein, healthy fats, and dietary fiber! As for chai, it classifies as a healthy drink for many reasons. A vegan chai latte is a great alternative to a cup of coffee, as chai tea has a much milder caffeine content than coffee. Chai tea has so many benefits: it is rich in antioxidants, reduced inflammation, is good for digestion, it boosts your immune system,… it’s an incredibly tasty and healthy drink!

This vegan iced chocolate chai latte recipe is super easy to make. You can make a lot of it in one go and just keep it in the freezer. That way, you always have an incredible chai latte by hand! This recipe really only takes 5 minutes to prepare. After that, you need to have some patience, as the mix will need a bit of time to freeze. Iced Chocolate Chai Latte

With just a little prep, you can treat yourself to multiple jars of this cool and refreshing drink. Once prepped, you can enjoy the healthy chai in a blink, anytime you crave it. Ingredients
  

  • 100 ml water⁠
  • 1.5 tsp chocolate chai by Premsoul Chai⁠
  • ½ tsp cocoa powder⁠
  • 200 ml plant-based milk⁠
  • 1 tbsp date syrup⁠

Instructions
 

  • Pour the water into a pan, add the chai mix and bring to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and pour the tea into 2 separate cups in equal amounts.⁠
    100 ml water⁠, 1.5 tsp chocolate chai
  • Mix the cocoa into one of the cups. Now allow both cups to cool down for about 10 minutes.⁠
    1/2 tsp cocoa powder⁠
  • Pour them both into ice trays making sure to keep them separate. Allow the mixture to freeze into cubes before using.⁠
  • Simply pop your cubes into a jar, pour milk on top, and add some date syrup to enjoy!⁠
